Kamaal Singh Dhillon

Kamaal represents clients at all levels of court in British Columbia across a wide range of practice areas with a specialized focus on Employment Law, Education Law, and Human Rights Law.

Prior to founding Kesari, Kamaal worked at prominent law firms in British Columbia specializing in workplace law and civil litigation. He has also previously worked as an in-house lawyer for one of Canada’s largest public school boards representing the school board in a broad range of civil litigation matters including a landmark disability accommodation hearing that has since become a leading case in Canadian education law.

Kamaal strives to deliver efficient, effective, and practical counsel to his clients with a focus on results. He enjoys spending his free time playing chess, football, sparring at boxing and watching re-runs of “The Office”.

Avleen Kohli

Avleen is a co-founder of Kesari Law. Her practice focuses on human rights, environmental law, administrative law, and constitutional law. Avleen graduated from Harvard Law School in 2024 with an LL.M. She also holds an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. 

Prior to Kesari, Avleen gained experience at the Ontario Ministry of Attorney General’s Crown Law Office Civil and a boutique family litigation firm in Ontario. Avleen has been involved with several non-profits in the realm of environmental advocacy and has been part of the editorial team of a Research Handbook on Climate Justice. As a research scholar, Avleen intensively researched constitutional law, legal philosophy, and finding pathways to substantively represent nature in legal proceedings. 

Before moving to Canada in 2017, Avleen was an appellate litigator representing clients before the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana, India. 

In her spare time, Avleen enjoys reading philosophy, practising yoga, and making reels with her dog Rumi.
